CUSCO XXL | SOFA

The Cusco Sofa by Giorgio Bonaguro for Carpanese Home was conceived as a modular system inspired by the cyclopean walls of ancient Latin American cities. Its geometric and complementary shapes interlock like stone blocks, forming versatile configurations of seats, joints, and backrests. The design allows for evolutionary solutions that adapt to any space: comfortable and welcoming when viewed from the front, yet offering unexpected visual impact from the side. A balance of concept, aesthetics, production technique, and quality, the Cusco sofa was awarded the Archiproducts Design Award in 2022 for innovation and excellence in design. Crafted in EPA-certified plywood, fir, and hardboard, it is padded with open-cell polyurethane and Dacron layers, supported by elastic straps, and finished in leather or fabric upholstery.
